And We're Back! (Again.)
Hello! Buttermel_Bear here again, Another 2 month wait I know! I've been incredibly busy as we approached finals week but don't worry, much like last update It was held back due to big changes that effect the main system. Since Pluhnoah is still in the early phases of development, this unfortunately does mean old save files do not work with this update, and I'm very sorry. This should be the last time in a while where we'll have an update like this so worry not, your saves should be safe moving forward (I hope!). The story is moved forward slightly along with big battle hud changes! On paper it might not seem like a lot but trust me these 2 months have been spent diligently working. Now that I am on summer break you can expect monthly updates, so without further ado here are the patch notes!
Pluhnoah 0.5 Build Patch Notes
Story
Paths Diverge
- Campfire 3 Scene: Depending on which route and who is in your party during this scene, there will be different outcomes and interactions.
- Report Back To Lassidin: Depending on which route the conversation can go in different directions. Regardless, you will be asked to visit a neighboring village for information.
Side Quest
- The Tales of Three Bears: After listening to Goldie's story of the three bears, Bearby offered to check up on them at Ismalis Village. He hopes this will put her mind to rest.
Battle System
- Reworked: - I have completely overhauled the battle hud accompanied by new assets. It has always been something I wanted to change and I took it upon myself to dedicate a month in doing so. I have reused character art as placeholders portraits for the time being.
Unique Passive Abilities
- New: Bearby’s Honey Jar: Snack Break - If Bearby is below 50% MP, he will eat a snack to regen 5% of his MP.
Skills/Spells
Florrent
- Name Change: Tranquil Slash -> Flairful Slash - A simple name change to better fit Florrent’s Lore.
Rowena
- Name Change: For The Cause -> Vital Error - Rowena is not for the kingdom’s cause, a quick name change is needed here for clarification.
Art

All Characters
- New: Skill and Spell Icons - Every Party Member has gotten a full set of skill icons uniquely made for each of their skills and spells (over 50+ unique icons!). This also includes Florrent’s Violent moveset. This is also something I’ve been wanting to change for a while now, what better time to do it than now!
Battle Hud
Command Window
- New: Layout - Along with new art I have positioned the Command window to be in the bottom center of the screen. Both for practical and visual purposes.
Character Portraits and Party Layout
- New: Layout - Characters now have temporary art as their portrait and have a sleek new layout design to accompany the changes. Although the character portraits can sometimes cover the Hp text, it isn’t something too vital.
- New: Movement - Although a small detail, whenever damaging or being damaged the movement of the portrait will respond accordingly. I hope to animate this in the future!
Battle Window
- New: Layout - Now with a battle wheel! This is always something I’ve wanted and finally being able to implement it has been exciting. As great as it is, I might tweek and fix things visually in the future.
- New: Turn Indicator - Along with a highlight on the characters portrait, Unique turn indicator art will appear above the battle wheel to indicate who’s actions you’ll be choosing for faster clarification.
